meet organizationFor meets there will be four teams; Girls B, Boys B, Girls A, and Boys A. They will race in this order. Girls A and Boys A will include the seven fastest runners. All other runners who have participated in 14 practices and met the time trial requirements will run on B Team. Please remember that if your child is on C Team (has not met time trial requirement) or has not participated in 14 practices, they will not be participating in meet. Your child will go home after school on meet days until they have met the time trial requirement and/or have enough practices.
All qualifying A and B team runners will ride the buses to the meets. Parents may take their runners home if you are checked out by a coach. If your child is riding home with an adult who is not their parent/guardian, please send written permission (via email, text, or note) for that person to transport your child. All other runners will return to Lakeview on the buses. Coaches will send out a message via Remind text letting parents know when the busses will return to Lakeview. We will also have students begin calling/texting parents when we are about 15 minutes away from school so that they can be picked up in a timely manner. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes of arrival of the bus at Lakeview. After the meet, coaches will share the results with the team and their families as soon as they have them! |
